I don't have the "SD host adapters" category in my Device Manager, or anything that looks like that or contains the words "SD", "card reader", etc.įor the 2nd question, I was using the official ASUS helpdesk website: (in the drop-down menus I chose UX430UA then Windows 10 64-bit, then I downloaded the one driver under Card Reader).Īs for your last question, yes I do have a folder called sdbus.inf_amd64_a5b6670283ca5944 in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository. Thanks for the follow-up, this is helping me a lot. Is there a folder that begins with sdbus?

It's possible an update borked the SD Host Controller but I don't know how to repair it if it's gone missing.Įdit: Can you provide the support site link for the card reader driver you downloaded?Įdit Edit: Browse to C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository If you have the Card Reader under Disk Drives and it does not have a yellow exclamation mark next to it I'm not sure what the problem is. Moved from W10 Spt to Internal Hardware - Hamluis. I don't know how else to try and fix the issue.

I've tried updating the SD card reader driver through ASUS' official website, I've tried several versions of the driver, etc. They used to work on my laptop a few months ago, and I didn't operate any major changes to the laptop apart from mandatory Windows updates. I don't think the SD cards are the problem as they're working on my camera with no issues. It's not recognising my SD card and I've tried another SD card, with no luck. However it seems that my integrated SD card reader suddenly stopped working - I'm using it for my photography work. I have an ASUS laptop (ZenBook UX430U) under Windows 10 (64-bit) and it's been working great so far, fabulous laptop. I guess I'll get a USB reader.(for the mods: I suspect it's a driver issue linked to a Windows 10 update, however I'm sorry in advance if you think I'm posting this in the wrong category.) In addition to the suggestions you posted, I tried to get it to work inside a Windoze 10 VM, and still no luck.
